World's FairWorld's Fair by E.L. Doctorow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Reading this one because it takes place in the neighborhood where Mom grew up.

There's no real plot, it's just a broad swatch of memories and feelings of the 30s on the Grand Concourse. All throughout, Edgar's voice has a tinge of melancholy. I wish it had been Donald's story! The few chapters in his voice had a little verve.
